Our Commitment to Your Child

At Manners for Good, our focus is simple—serving your child by helping them build the confidence, connection, and character they need to thrive in today’s world.

We are committed to creating a warm, encouraging environment where every child feels comfortable, capable, and respected—because that’s where real growth happens.

As certified instructors through the American Academy of Etiquette and Manners-To-Go, we bring trusted, proven methods to every class—while keeping each experience personal, engaging, and relevant to the world children are growing up in today.

We promise to:
• Teach with kindness, patience, and encouragement
• Build real confidence through practical, everyday skills
• Create a positive space where children feel safe learning and growing
• Strengthen communication, respect, and genuine connection
• Equip your child with tools that open doors and last a lifetime

Because good manners aren’t about perfection—they’re about helping your child feel confident, connected, and comfortable in any room they walk into.

Meet the Founders & Instructors

Meet Julie

Raised by a single mother who worked as a housekeeper, Julie learned early that how you treat others matters more than what you have. She was taught that circumstances do not define character. She still remembers that before spending any gift money or playing with a new toy, she was expected to first write a thank-you note to the person who gave it—instilling appreciation, responsibility, and thoughtfulness from a young age.

Julie holds a degree in Physics from the University of North Carolina Wilmington. She built an 18+ year career in oil and gas, beginning as an oilfield engineer in the fields of South Texas and moving into the corporate world, where she saw firsthand how strong values, manners, and communication shape opportunities, build trust, open doors, and create lasting relationships. As a mother of a son in high school, she brings both professional insight and lived experience to helping children navigate today’s world.

Meet Michelle

Raised by Cuban immigrant parents, Michelle experienced what true kindness, generosity, and respect look like in action. From an early age, she watched her family treat everyone with compassion—opening their home to community members experiencing homelessness, offering them a place to shower—always showing kindness and respect, no matter their circumstances. These weren’t lessons that were simply taught—they were lived daily.

Michelle holds a degree in Social Work from Kennesaw State University. She has a background in nonprofit, volunteer, and education work, where she has seen firsthand the impact of empathy, connection, and strong character in shaping lives, relationships, and communities. As a mother of a son and daughter in high school, she understands firsthand the challenges kids face today and the importance of building confidence and connection early.

Though from different backgrounds, they share a firsthand understanding of the importance of character, confidence, and connection. Together, they created Manners for Good to help children build the confidence, social skills, and independence needed to navigate and thrive in today’s world.

From Professionals,

to Your Children

At Manners for Good, every detail of what we teach is intentional.

We believe confidence, respect, and meaningful connection are some of the most valuable gifts we can give our children. In a world that moves quickly and often feels disconnected, we focus on the skills that truly matter—how to communicate, show kindness, and carry oneself with confidence in any setting.

Our goal is simple: to help children feel comfortable in who they are and confident in how they show up—at school, in social settings, and throughout their lives.
